Faroboats, pioneers of the first fully sustainable solution for electric powerboating, have been awarded the top honor in the Innovative Design Solution category at the IBI Boat Builders Awards 2024.
On November 21st, an impressive gala took place in Amsterdam, where eleven winners and three Honourable Mentions were honored in a festive atmosphere dedicated to excellence in the marine industry.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Boat Builder Awards, during which notable presentations included the Lifetime Achievement award to Gulf Craft’s Mohammed Hussein AlShaali, the designation of 2024 Rising Star to IMPACD Boats founder Marieke de Boer, and recognition for the Jakopin brothers as Designers of the Year. Boat building companies and their supply chain partners from 15 different countries were celebrated for their innovative achievements.
“Taking the top prize in our category at the Boat Builders Awards goes beyond our wildest expectations,” stated Nuno Frazão, CEO of Faroboats. “Because it transcends our specific electric boat arena and extends to the entire leisure marine industry, competing against world-class manufacturers makes this a glorious victory for us,” he added.
The IBI Boatbuilder Awards notably acknowledge the significant contributions of individuals, teams, and supply chain partners within boat building companies across the globe. The 2024 10th anniversary edition of the Boat Builder Awards has highlighted another year of remarkable industry advancements across 11 categories, including design, innovation, collaborative working, environmental responsibility, marketing, and personal achievement.
