GENERATOR has partnered with the Wonderfruit festival in Thailand to host its Boutique Camping village during the December event, marking the debut of Generator’s socially-inspired hospitality experience in Asia.
The renowned global hospitality brand is set to offer a cozy camping accommodation for festival attendees, referred to as ‘Wonderers’, drawing inspiration from its design-focused properties worldwide. Attendees will have the opportunity to select from private, air-conditioned bell tents and RVs, alongside the pioneering dorm-style booking option, allowing guests to share a three-bed tent with fellow solo travellers.
The shared accommodation offers an enticing and budget-friendly means for guests to experience Wonderfruit’s luxurious onsite amenities while fostering new connections throughout their stay. Attendees will enjoy Generator’s customized gamification and unique programming within the Boutique Camping village, designed to stimulate social interactions and create lasting memories.
Boutique Campers can engage in various activities, including community-curated art installations and spontaneous music sessions throughout the festival, or participate in a range of social games from around the world, designed to spark conversation. Classic games like beer pong and giant Jenga will be complemented by fun activities such as Mölkky, a Finnish throwing game similar to bowling, transforming the Boutique Camping area into a vibrant social hub that features its own dedicated restaurant and bar.
Alastair Thomann, CEO of Generator, said: “We’re constantly redefining what travel accommodation should look and feel like for our community, to create unique experiences and spaces for our guests to meet, share, and create memories. Festivals are all about community, so bringing Generator to Wonderfruit and injecting our personality and DNA into the cultural event is something we’re really excited about. We’re delivering something fresh and different to this year’s site, creating an engaging destination for our guests to enjoy in between exploring the festival, and are looking forward to introducing our brand to a new audience of adventurous and creative travellers.”
Jon Lor, Managing Director of Wonderfruit, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Boutique Camping back with a fresh new experience in partnership with Generator. They bring with them their signature, global style presented with a local touch, offering Wonderers an elevated camping experience with a unique spin on dining and socially-driven activities all within the dedicated village. What’s really exciting is the introduction of our Shared Tents concept—uniting solo Wonderers for the first time ever. We’re proud to pioneer this new way of connecting our community and look forward to seeing it come to life at Wonderfruit.”
