In a significant transition, Rosen Hotels & Resorts has appointed Frank Santos as its new CEO. This appointment follows the passing of the esteemed founder, Harris Rosen, who died at the age of 85 just a week prior.
Santos’s journey with Rosen Hotels & Resorts began in 1986 when he was personally recruited by Harris Rosen to serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Over nearly four decades, he has contributed immensely to the growth and success of the organization. Santos later took on the role of Vice President, collaborating closely with Mr. Rosen to expand the company’s presence in the hospitality sector. Today, Rosen Hotels & Resorts is a thriving organization with over 4,000 associates, managing seven properties in the Orlando area, including Rosen Inn International, Rosen Inn closest to Universal, Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando, Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre, and Rosen Shingle Creek. The company also encompasses RosenSure, a dedicated insurance agency, Millennium Technology Group, several charitable foundations, and the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center.
“It is an honor,” said Santos. “I will always be grateful for the privilege to lead this great company that Mr. Rosen poured his heart and soul into building for 50 years. I do not take this responsibility lightly, and I promise to continue the amazing work in our industry and in our community which Mr. Rosen started.”
Santos, together with Harris Rosen, made significant contributions to the community by establishing the Tangelo Park and Parramore preschool programs. These initiatives provide free preschool education to children from underserved communities, empowering them with a solid educational foundation. Graduates are also eligible for college and vocational scholarships, covering tuition, room and board, as well as books. Hundreds of students have benefitted from these scholarship programs over the years.
Further demonstrating his commitment to the workforce, Santos played a key role in the creation of RosenCare, a healthcare program that provides wellness benefits to every associate at affordable rates. This program notably offers no deductibles and ensures that 90% of all prescriptions, including insulin, are available to associates at zero cost. Additionally, he collaborated with Mr. Rosen to establish the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, the Adam Michael Rosen Foundation, and successfully averted the destruction of what is now the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center on two separate occasions.
The legacy of Harris Rosen continues to be honored through the leadership of Frank Santos, whose experience and vision are set to propel Rosen Hotels & Resorts into a promising future.
