Singh Rejoins Montigo Resorts as CEO

Appointment of Dalip Singh as CEO of Montigo Resorts

In a significant development within the hospitality sector, KOP Limited has announced the appointment of Dalip Singh as the new Chief Executive Officer of its hospitality division, Montigo Resorts.

Dalip Singh returns to the organization with a wealth of experience, having accumulated over 25 years in luxury hotel management. This comes after his previous tenure at KOP Limited, where he was instrumental in establishing Montigo Resorts before departing in 2016.

Throughout his career, Singh has held key leadership roles with renowned hospitality brands including Pan Pacific, The Ritz-Carlton, Dusit International, Shangri-La, and Hyatt.

Strategic Projects on the Horizon

Singh’s primary focus as CEO will be the launch of the 105-key Ellen Kensington in London, the first urban hotel managed by Montigo Resorts. This project marks a pivotal step towards expanding KOP Limited’s presence in city markets across the UK and Ireland.

Additionally, Singh will oversee Montigo Resorts, Somerset at Charlton House—an exquisite Grade II-listed, 28-bedroom country house and thermal spa that welcomed guests in 2023.

Singh will also lead the operations of two properties in Indonesia: Montigo Resorts, Nongsa in Batam, and Montigo Resorts, Seminyak in Bali.

“I am excited to return to KOP Ltd as CEO of Montigo Resorts,” Singh expressed. “This is not just a homecoming, but an incredible opportunity to lead a brand I have always believed in.”

“Our goal is to blend Montigo Resorts’ unique brand of Asian hospitality with the demands of the dynamic and evolving travel consumers. The opening of Ellen Kensington is just the beginning of our ambitious plans to expand the brand’s footprint into other markets over the next decade. We aim to create memorable, sustainable, and innovative luxury experiences—from unforgettable escapes to engaging events and festivals—while offering exclusive benefits that resonate with guests globally. I look forward to collaborating with our talented teams to bring these visions to life,” he added.

Ong Chih Ching, Executive Chairman and Executive Director of KOP Limited, commented on Singh’s appointment, stating, “Dalip Singh’s leadership style aligns perfectly with Montigo Resorts’ commitment to innovation and excellence. His extensive background in hospitality and proven track record in transforming properties into market leaders make him the ideal person to lead our global expansion efforts.”
