Celebrating the Grand Opening of voco Winchester Hotel & Spa

A New Chapter for the Hotel

The voco Winchester Hotel & Spa hosted a spectacular grand opening event on Thursday, November 14, marking its exciting rebranding and refurbishment. This transformation from Holiday Inn to voco has been a culmination of 8 months of dedicated work, with an investment of £2 million.

Over 100 guests, including local business representatives, residents, and past patrons, gathered for the evening celebration. Attendees indulged in a delightful selection of cocktails, Champagne, canapés, and pizza, all while enjoying vibrant entertainment provided by talented dancers, a DJ in the restaurant, and live music in the Hampshire Suite. Guests were invited to tour the newly enhanced facilities, including public areas and luxurious bedrooms.

Jon Beare, General Manager at voco Winchester Hotel & Spa, expressed his delight: “We were thrilled to host our official opening event, and it was a truly enjoyable and successful evening. The hotel made the transition to voco last month following an extensive refurbishment process that has greatly enhanced the property, and we look forward to welcoming guests to our beautifully upgraded hotel.”

About the Hotel

This contemporary hotel, established in 2010, boasts a prime location at the edge of the picturesque South Downs National Park and is conveniently situated just a 5-minute drive from Winchester City Centre. The hotel underwent a £2.5 million refurbishment in 2019, setting the stage for its latest transformation into voco in 2024.

voco Winchester Hotel & Spa encompasses 131 stylish rooms, including double, twin, accessible, premium, and grand accommodations, as well as an elegant suite. The refurbishment has elevated the quality and service of all rooms, with the premium and grand options now featuring complimentary mini bars, Nespresso machines, and luxurious bedding made from 100% recyclable materials.

Facilities and Amenities

The hotel provides 9 versatile meeting and event spaces and is a favored choice for weddings and private events, capable of hosting up to 200 guests. The distinctive British restaurant, Kitchen 21, is particularly known for its extraordinary 21-inch pizza. Additionally, the Ana Spa, introduced in 2019, offers an array of wellness amenities including treatment rooms, a Hydro-Pool, Himalayan Salt Sauna, Sensory Shower, Crystal Steam Room, and a Bubble Foot Spa.
