Equus Capital Partners Ltd. has opened the AC Hotel Newtown Square in Newtown Square, PA. The brand’s first property in the Greater Philadelphia area features 140 rooms, 2,200 square feet of meeting and event space, a daytime café that turns into a nighttime lounge and a 24-hour fitness center.
Gulph Creek Hotels manages the property.
The hotel is part of the final development phase at Ellis Preserve, a 218-acre, master-planned community. The final phase also includes Ellis Mass Timber, a 105,000 sq.-ft., five-story mass timber office building, 75,000 sq. ft. of shopping and dining venues and The Ivy, an 18,000 sq. ft. conference and banquet facility. Altogether, Ellis Preserve includes nearly 2 million sq, ft, of office space, and 364,000 sq, ft, of retail, dining and event space,
