Reza and Mohammed Malekzadeh, the entrepreneurial duo behind the veg-centric KIN Café in Fitzrovia, have recently acquired the adjacent site. This plant-based brand will take over the former Cin Cin restaurant on Foley Street to launch a full-service dining establishment featuring an expanded menu.
This marks the cousins’ fifth venture, following the establishment of KIN Restaurant and KIN Café, alongside their three existing Persian eateries, Naroon, which saw an expansion earlier this year.
Set to open on November 18th, the 32-seat KIN Restaurant will provide an upscale vegetarian and vegan lunch and dinner experience, complementing the offerings of its neighboring sister venue, KIN Café, which will continue to serve its renowned breakfast, brunch, and takeaway options.
Executive Chef Shayan Shams has designed a lively menu that includes broad bean croquettes, sous vide cauliflower with butter bean purée, miso-glazed aubergine, and tomato three-ways, all made with sustainably sourced ingredients.
The bar will feature a variety of waste-free cocktails along with a selection of craft beers and lagers. A portion of the proceeds from the house wine list will be directed to the Born Free Foundation, supporting the care of wild animals in their natural habitats and promoting compassionate conservation efforts.
Open seven days a week from 12 PM to 10:30 PM, the restaurant showcases olive green banquette seating, a distinctive bar with brass accents, and a private dining area downstairs accommodating six guests. Natural elements like timber flooring and reclaimed oak tables enhance the decor of KIN Café, with both locations connected by communal outdoor seating.
Mohammad Malekzadeh, Co-Owner and Co-Founder of KIN Restaurant, remarks: “The success of KIN Café has highlighted the growing demand for refined and creative plant-based cuisine. Our new restaurant will allow us to elevate vegetarian and vegan dining, ensuring delicious, cruelty-free, locally sourced, and sustainable options. We are confident that KIN Restaurant will enrich Fitzrovia’s culinary scene.”
Reza Malekzadeh, Co-Owner and Co-Founder of KIN Restaurant, adds: “By transforming this space into a full-service dinner venue, we can reach a broader audience for plant-based dining while providing our Café patrons an evening dining option. We are thrilled about the immense possibilities this new restaurant brings and see it as vital to our long-term plan to expand the KIN brand throughout London.”
