The Curling Club, London’s beloved winter alpine-themed experience, has officially opened at two locations this year.
After a successful four-year run and strong demand, The Curling Club is back at the Southbank Centre in London, open until February 6, 2025. For the first time, it’s also making a splash at Vinegar Yard, which opened in November and will be welcoming guests until February 28, 2025.
Both venues offer an unparalleled winter experience catered to couples, families, friends, and corporate gatherings. Attendees can look forward to top-notch curling sheets, inviting decor, and a wide selection of delicious food and drinks. New and exciting entertainment, featuring resident DJs, glitterball dancers, and live performers, is set to enhance the festive atmosphere for everyone.
The Southbank Centre, accommodating 250 guests, continues to evoke après ski nostalgia and remains a cherished destination for winter fun. Open daily from 11 am to 11 pm, visitors can enjoy competitive curling, live entertainment, alpine-inspired street food, beverages from brands like Cazcabel, Pernod Ricard, and Coors, along with seasonal cocktails.
At Vinegar Yard, a spacious venue capable of hosting 600 guests, the experience is set to be even more vibrant. Located close to London Bridge Station and the Shard, this venue is part of Flea London’s Vintage and Makers market, which showcases a variety of Christmas gift options. The Curling Club here features cutting-edge curling lanes, cozy decor, and a diverse selection of food and drinks from vendors such as Nanny Bill’s and the Untitled Sandwich Shop. Open every day from 12 pm to late, it promises winter street food and drink accompanied by live entertainment.
Eve Muirhead, a four-time Olympian and Team GB’s Chef de Mission for the upcoming Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, continues her role as ambassador for The Curling Club, hosting events at both venues. Following her success in leading Team GB to a gold medal as skip at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, guests now have the chance to mimic this feat by sliding stones down specialized sheets, offering an authentic curling experience without requiring ice or specialized shoes.
Rebecca Brindle, Head of Commercial at Southbank Centre, shared: “We’re excited to bring The Curling Club back to the Southbank Centre for another year of friendly, competitive curling in a festive setting.”
Neil Benson, Commercial Director at Vinegar Yard, added: “Having enjoyed The Curling Club experience at the Southbank Centre, we’re thrilled to collaborate with the team and offer our own twist on this unique curling experience.”
The Curling Club will be at Southbank Centre from October 10, 2024, to February 6, 2025, and at Vinegar Yard from November 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. Corporate packages start at £50 (+VAT), and Pay for Play experiences begin at £24 (+VAT).
