In Thailand, Generator, a hybrid hotel brand, has teamed up with the Thai festival Wonderfruit to manage the event’s Boutique Camping village this December.
This collaboration marks Generator’s debut of its hospitality experience in Asia.
Attendees will have the option to book private, air-conditioned bell tents and RVs, as well as shared three-bed tents ideal for solo travellers.
Campers can also engage in various activities, including community-curated art installations, music sessions, and games like beer pong, giant Jenga, or Mölkky, a Finnish bowling-inspired throwing game.
Generator’s CEO, Alastair Thomann, commented: “We are continuously reimagining what travel accommodation can look and feel like for our community, crafting unique experiences and environments for our guests to connect, share, and form lasting memories. Festivals epitomize community spirit, so we are excited to bring Generator to Wonderfruit and infuse our personality into this cultural event. We aim to offer something new and different this year, creating an inviting space for guests to enjoy while exploring the festival. We look forward to introducing our brand to a fresh audience of adventurous and creative travellers.”
Jon Lor, managing director of Wonderfruit, expressed: “We are excited to reintroduce Boutique Camping with an innovative experience in collaboration with Generator. They bring their distinctive global style, enhanced with a local touch, offering Wonderers an elevated camping experience with a unique dining twist and socially-driven activities within a dedicated village. One particularly exciting feature is the launch of our Shared Tents concept, designed to connect solo Wonderers for the very first time. We are proud to pioneer this fresh approach to community engagement and eagerly anticipate its realization at Wonderfruit.”
