The Savoy, a prestigious hotel in London, has announced the appointment of Rob Van Eyck as its new hotel manager, effective January 2025.
Van Eyck joins The Savoy after seven successful years at Rocco Forte’s The Balmoral in Edinburgh, where his leadership led to the hotel achieving Two Keys from Michelin and Forbes five-star recognition.
In his upcoming role, he will collaborate with Franck Arnold, the regional vice president and managing director who has been part of The Savoy team for over four years.
Expressing his excitement, Van Eyck remarked, “The Savoy has been enchanting guests for more than 135 years, making it a true honor to join Franck and my new colleagues in shaping the future legacy of this iconic establishment. I am committed to upholding The Savoy’s dedication to providing the ultimate guest experience, and I look forward to stepping into my new role during this transformative period.”
Arnold also shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m delighted to welcome Rob to The Savoy family in January, coinciding with our re-conceptualization and reopening of the Thames Foyer as well as completing the first phase of room renovations. Rob’s vast experience will be instrumental in further enhancing our legendary Savoy service. We are eager to leverage his extensive expertise and deep understanding of guest needs.”
This November, The Savoy will introduce its new dining venue along with two retail offerings. Additionally, renovations of its rooms and suites began in August and are expected to be unveiled next summer.
