In the US, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has announced the appointment of Rosanna Maietta as its new president and CEO, effective 14 November 2024.
Maietta previously held the positions of president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation, as well as executive vice president of communications and public relations for AHLA.
Her selection was unanimously endorsed by the AHLA’s executive committee and board of directors, following a thorough search process led by the AHLA search committee, chaired by vice chair Mitch Patel, which included executives from various hotel brands, ownership groups, and management companies.
Maietta joins AHLA after serving as chief communications officer and senior counselor to the CEO at the American Clean Power Association (ACP).
“I am thrilled to be returning to AHLA and to work once again with the exceptional team and colleagues I greatly respect,” said Maietta. “This organization and the hospitality industry hold a unique and personal significance for me, and I look forward to the opportunity to lead it into a new phase of growth and collaboration.
